If yes, tell us about the experience.(required) How do you intend to ensure your dog gets enough exercise?(required) Will this dog be crated? Please explain your answer.(required) How much time will the dog spend outside each day? Studies show it takes a minimum of 3 days for a re-homed dog to decompress, 3 weeks to learn the new routine, and 3 months to feel truly at home in a new place. Can you reasonably commit to allowing your adoptee 3 months of deliberate grace to adapt during this transition? (required) We are committed to ensuring that we maintain close contact with all our retired team members. Adopting a retiring Doberman from TKB means receiving support and communicating every year the results of tests and the quality of the dog’s health as he or she ages. Are you willing to grow a close relationship with The Kennel Birkline and freely share health information each year?(required) Part of the commitment in adopting a Birkline Retiree is a ridged adherence to annual liver/thyroid blood tests, annual 24-holter & Echocardiogram Cardiac tests, and bi-annual hip x-rays. The Kennel Birkline requires that the results of these annual tests are shared promptly each year without delay. These tests can be costly. Without asking your annual income, can we be certain that you can manage the approximately $750-$900 for testing each year? (required) **Retiring Team Members are adopted with full AKC registration, but in most cases will be desexed prior to the adoption.which does not include breeding rights. Breeding of a Birkline Doberman without contractual rights is strictly prohibited. **By submitting your information, you hereby certify that the above information is true and correct to the best of your knowledge.
